The 253 was recorded in two bursts. First, the band travelled to Norfolk to work on 5 tracks with Magoo’s Owen Turner in the Sick Room studio. They stayed in the studio for 5 nights.
Remaining tracks were recorded by Jon Clayton at One Cat Studio in Stamford Hill. There are some home-taped bits as well but the bulk of The 253 is from these two studio sessions.
