I just sent out an email newsletter, mainly about the Sweet Billy Pilgrim gigs I’m doing in September. So I’m sharing it here too. It goes something (well, exactly) like this…
I hope you’re well and having a sexy August. Thank you very much for continuing to support my ‘work’, you’re the best (that’s not a web link, I’m just underlining to emphasise how much you are the best). It may feel quiet on the T-T front at the moment but I promise I’ve been piling on with loads of stuff that all comes to fruition (or disaster) in the next few months…
GIGS WITH SWEET BILLY PILGRIM
I’m doing 3 shows early next month with one of my favourite British bands ever Sweet Billy Pilgrim as they tour their new album Motorcade Amnesiacs. I’ll play solo and hopefully debut new songs. Here’s details and tickets:
MANCHESTER | BRISTOL | CARDIFF
Before that jaunt I’ve got two festivals left. First playing only my second ever (!) proper folk festival FOLK EAST 2015, doing a solo headline set, before Gill and I finish off our Walk Away, Walk Away duo shows in style at SC4M FESTIVAL 2015 in Winchester.
9 RED SONGS IS 10 YEARS OLD!
I can’t announce specifics yet but YES we are doing something special to celebrate the 10th anniversary of my fifth album 9 Red Songs. It’ll be in London, in November. I hope reading that didn’t make you feel too old.
MY RADIO SHOW’S 1ST BIRTHDAY
My weekly late night folk music show Chris T-T’s Midnight Campfire is now one year old – which also means we hit episode #50. If you’ve not tried it, it is broadcast on Tuesday nights on Brighton’s Juice 107.2 (yes, actual FM radio) and then archived online via the excellent Internet station TotallyRadio.com HERE.
Oh yeah, icymi, a few weeks ago as it first took off, I wrote a piece about Jeremy Corbyn’s campaign and a more miserable, intense blog entry (that I didn’t publicise much) about taking down the print media.
That’s all for now. But I’ll be back on the road in some fashion before the end of the year – and I’m getting pretty close now to telling you the details of album #10.
Loads of love. XXX
