‘A BEATEN DRUM’ EP OUT NOW
Often ‘A Beaten Drum’ is my favourite song on The Bear, even though it’s so bleak. It was an abandoned demo til Hoodrats rescued it with the slowed-down groove and Jen’s wonderful guitar riff. Plus, the two semi-improvised solo piano b-sides – I’m 1000x proud of them. This is the third and last single from The Bear, if you haven’t already please check it out.

LO FI ARTS
I recently launched Lo Fi Arts Consultancy to turn my non-touring creative work (plus all the creative stuff my friends and allies do) into a coherent small business. It’s worth a look if you might need help with ideas / creative work.
THE FUTURE
I guess we’re at the end of The Bear ‘campaign’, whatever that means. It’s been fantastic, so THANKYOU for buying the album and coming to shows. I’m booking a couple of short UK runs for Hoodrats in Autumn – but we’ll need new material for those. I’m chasing support slots and European gigs as well as UK headlines. Besides that, I’m planning a duo project with Gill Sandell and I’m doing a lot of writing, so we’ll see.
